Agreed. I have been in the online business for over a decade. I can tell you straight up that you need to have some interest of some kind in your business if you want it to succeed. You have to look at, and deal with, this bullshit day in and day out. If you do not like it, then you are not going to want to do it every day. I could not look at gay content every day. No matter that it is a gold mine and easy money if you can market it successful. As for the easiest money that I have found for someone just starting out. A membership site, or clip store is easily that. Cater to a niche and need, with small investment. Capitalize and grow over time. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1635570 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1630283 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1668180 If you and your programmer buddy do not have first hand experience running a online business. I would recommend you start small. Learn the basics about driving sales, SEO/SERPS, driving traffic and other things needed before you go sinking in a ton of money and fail. /2cts

I agree with the guy who said the foundations will take longer to build than the rest of the business. It is also hard to advise what business for someone new to start. We all have different criteria, when it comes to associating ourselves with specifics. So it may well be benefitial for you to try a couple of differing types, but ones that feel easy to you and see which of them actually produces and still feels good when you work them.
100k will be a hard task in the first year not undoable but we have to be realistic 90% of small businesses generally fail the others that dont often dont make alot of profit and the latter succeed. what are you good at, do you have any hobbies? if so look for a niche market within these, something you have a good knowledge of already. if we all knew what was going to sell to make 100k a year we'd all be millionares.
I started my e-commerce business last year and it's going well. I learned about e-commerce and dropshipping from a course called "Niche Blueprint". For the store platform I would recommend Magento (SEO friendly!). To find dropshippers check out World Wide Brands (although this is better for if you plan on setting up several ecommerce stores). Hope that helps a bit. You can PM me for more details if you'd like.
Membership site: research your CMS (I would suggest WP with digital access pass) research your payment processing and how that integrates with you site Oh and SEO will be an important topic!
This IMO is key. If you don't like the product/services that you're going to sell, it's easier to give up on.
as you said this is not your first but first internet business i think you start with a product you know better about it its usage and you can support after sale easly etc etc
You already set a big target to earn but it is difficult when you just start a business. I believe that first starts with small scale with good investment and then go for big…
do what you love.. if you hate what you do.. why do. Maybe buy some articles and make a membership site.
