You might want to look into the log files off apache or awstats(dont know if they have that) there they will explain the error better.

    Hi,

The first time you update the AWStats data base, the update process can be long and it is possible that your web server times out before the update is done if you try to use the "Update now" button. The first update should always be done from the command line.

3 days after my e-mail, i get a reply back. Damn, Netfirms are quick!

    "Hello,

    Thank you for your email.

We have reviewed you question. Currently your log files are too large to be executed by the server. We would suggest breaking up your logs in to small more manageable chunks.

Or we would suggest using an external third party apache log analyzer, on your local computer."

Which is a pretty useless reply. I follow their instructions on how to set up awstats, now they tell me it won't work. I've sent an e-mail back but during the 3 day wait, any suggestions here as to how i can solve this problem.

Is there any way to split log files into breakable chunks, how is this normally done?
