Re : Help! Sales Transaction – Weekdays. Why Not On Weekends? I am a newbie and just started internet marketing part time in March 2010. To get traffic I have been using as many methods as possible such as Forum, article, classified ads, social networks, Search Engine Marketing etc. My question is PPC. The past 100 days statics of Yahoo PPC Search Engine Marketing A. 2 sales (Web Hosting) B. 18 tiny sales (Tool Bar download) It is $1 each so in total $18 It seems that all the transactions happened on Weekdays, NOT WEEKENDS. IS THIS COINCIDENTAL as statics samples are too small? My questions are below. Please be aware I not interested in am offline sales or online sales from non-Search Engine Marketing. If I know the answers, I will advertise only on specific days, not wasting money to advertise on other non performing days. 1. Majority of Transaction happen on weekdays or weekends? 2. If weekdays, why? I thought they buy on weekends. Did customers first visit sites on weekends? 3.How many days between Transaction and the date customers first visit sites, clicking PPC ad? I know this is a difficult question, but if there is any statics available, that will be good. Regards herok - The Phantom of The Opera
I do run several successful online ecommerce site. Let me clear your doubt 1. Majority of Transaction happen on weekdays or weekends? 75% transaction is carried out on weeksday. 2. If weekdays, why? I thought they buy on weekends. That the behaviour of shopper. 3.Did customers first visit sites on weekends? Shopper did visit my site everyday. 3.How many days between Transaction and the date customers first visit sites, clicking PPC ad? PPC ads is complete waste of money especially g00gIe adsense,it only drive junk traffic for your site.
Hi! Mentos Thank you very much for your confirmation. Today I got $1.5 transaction for Tool Bar Down load. Again it is not Weekends. I am still puzzled as I personally rather buy on weekends, spending time for investigation. As for PPC yiu talked about,I know many people lose money so I only use "Contents" not "keyword" so $0.15 per click for Web Hosting company. So I luckily have not lost money after deducting PPC expense. I had a quick look at you links at the bottom of your post and I will look into details. Again I really appreciated your response.
Most people do their 'surfing' at work on their employers time/bandwidth. I have absolutely no research to back this up, (other than also finding that most people buy during the week) but I'm sure it's true.
Hi! Magda Thank you for your post. As I said,I personally prefer to transact online on weekends, spending time and investigating products. It seems I am in minority.
Hi, I guess the most of my purchases are made on Sat and Sun. Me too, do not like to waste my time and money on doing PPC on all the days. I choose only specific days.
Hi! IRichie It is nice to know your different experience. I put in the same question to 2 other forums. And the majority say their experience is most of online sales transactions happen during business hours on weekdays. Stll this is contrary to what I thought.
