I am a fan of the simple designs. As said above a logo and a little more color will really make it look a lot better.

Your logo text is good but you need a icon for logo , maybe a animal , maybe a cartoon .

Your site color is good (red.) , and you have got good borders.

You need to have a logo to make it more memorable, you can make it red too. The overall look is fine, it looks clean and well structured, but It doesn't have any image in the index.
