Hi All, I have currently moved my site from old domain to a new domain. The structure of the site is exactly the same, i only changed the theme. The only difference is that its now on a new domain. If earlier it was on "abc.net" then now it is on "def.com". I have properly given 301 redirection to all the articles from old domain to the new domain. There are total 560 articles on the site. However, i managed to properly redirect each article from old domain to the same article present on the new domain by using the 301 thing. Now i see in webmaster tools that all my urls on the new domain have been indexed by Google. However, i still see that analytics gives the data for old site and the traffic on it is same, while the analytics of the new domain doesn't really show any traffic equivalent to the old one, although i put a redirect on all articles. Shouldn't the traffic move completely to the new domain? How much time does it ideally take for the entire value of old domain to move to new domain? Does the value get transferred completely, that is, PR, ranking of each article etc.? Is there anything specific i need to do apart from what i have done already? Help needed!
if you did proper 301 redirection., all the juice of old domain will be passed to new domain including PR and SERP.., but it takes some time to get it., as the old domain having around 560 articles.., so wait for some time.., may be around 2 to 4 weeks..
Before new Google algorithm i got all indexed passed in less than 1 week after i have resubmit sitemap to google webmaster. All i can do is post article and PING it to major services.
@Uday11: Well, 2 weeks are nearly going to pass, lets hope some outcome. @Indiajobvacancy: I wonder what are you talking about posting an article and pinging it to major services . I think you haven't really read my problem. nearly 560 articles are already indexed and are ranking well for me. I am talking about the redirection of these to the new domain.
