For animation & graphic work i require to upgrade my desktop system so please suggest me what should i buy:- Currently i have:- 32 bit system Motherboard :- ASUS M2N-VM DVI Processor:- Dual Core AMD processor Ram:- 1 GB DDR2 ram Graphic Card:- NVIDIA Geforce7050/NF630a Can i buy:- Processors:- Intel i3 or i5 / AMD Phenom processors Will these new processors support my system? Or what is your recommendation?
According to this site, the Motherboard you have is Socket AM2 and can take upto AMD Phenom X4 (you can't use Intel on an AMD-supporting board) but you would really need to triple check against your motherboard's serial number and also that the BIOS is suitable. If you read the comments on that site, at least one suggested upgrade doesn't work so do make certain.
