Greetings: I'm working on a customer program, using data from our OG user database. I'm needing a way for OG to send a mySQL query, when a particular field is updated. I see how to send my query on a new billing code, or the removal of a billing code.. but not an update to a field. More specifically, when the users data in the Broadband section is updated (i.e. mac address, access point, and bandwidth limit. Which are all custom <BB##> fields), I want to be able to send an update.. I don't see anywhere in OG to trigger an event on a field, or record, update. Is anyone else doing this? Is there a way to add a custom button, and after any updates, click that button to trigger an event? I see some buttons labeled "Generic1", etc.. can I link those to an event somehow? Mike Cannon cannon@moment.net Momentum Online
I see "Generic 1" and "Generic 2" on the Usage screen, under the buttons labeled "Search" and "Call Detail". In the Maint and Pref --> Server Events Setup --> New Style Events Setup --> New Event screen, if I pull down the Event Type list, I see Generic 1 through 4, and Email Generic 1 through 4, and Domain Generic 1 through 4. Since I saw Generic 1 and 2 in both locations, that led me to believe I could trigger an event with that button. I would want to put a Generic # button on the Broadband screen if possible.. You could setup the generic usage buttons separate if you wish. They can be defined under Maintenance & Preferences -> General Preferences -> Usage -> SQL Hooks
I only see the Generic 1 and Generic 2 buttons there.. where can I edit the 3rd and 4th Generic buttons.. Also, is there a way to place one of these generic buttons on the Broadband page?? Hmm.. it doesn't look like the 2 Generic buttons on the Usage page are related to the events section I was talking about above.. what are those for?
