Hello, My friend wants to send a payment to me via western union. Can you please tell me the process? Do we need any sort of account or others? thanks, Unleashed
I used MoneyGram but I'm sure it's almost the same with Western Union. Anyway, once the payment has been sent, ask for the transactional/authorization ID (it might be called this or something else) and make sure the payment is sent to your real name (as in your passport or your identification card name). After that, go to any center that accepts western union (usually banks or post office or go to the WU website to check for the nearest center) along with your passport (or something to verify your that you are the recipient) and ask the counter for western union withdrawal and fill in some forms. After they're done verifying, you'll get your money. Sounds tedious but it's simple really. Enjoy your money. Fariz
1. Your friend takes a wad of cash to Western Union, writes down your name, and pays. 2. Western Union gives him a MTCN (money transfer control number). 3. Your friend tells you the MTCN. 4. You go to your local Western Union, write your name, and present photo ID. 5. Western Union gives you the cash.
If your friend knows how to send WU.The only thing u need to do is get a MTCN from your friend. Then go to your local Western Union with your id card.Very easy to get the cash once you shows your id card and tell them MTCN.
