Help Regarding PodCasting

    I am planning to start a PodCasting Site... I need the Podcast to be 24 hours available to my users....

    Can i know the following

    • Best Hosting for this
    • Hosting Charge
    • Software and its Cost

    What kind of podcast and where? Multible casts or your own talkie thing?

    That shouldn't be a problem. The internet doesn't close. ;)

    There isn't any single best solution. Have you tried this before? Have you run a server before? Also, it depends on how many will be listening to your podcasts. There are providers dedicated to only this, but you could easily start out with shared hosting and move on to a self managed dedicated server, if it's succesfull.

    $10 a month to $500+. The only really good advice I can give you, is not to overbuy, but simply find a provider that can scale your solution when you need it. Most reputable providers can.

    Also, there are providers that provide a per slot solution, you might want to look into that.


    There is plenty of good free open source solutions out there. But again, depending on what you want to do, it could cost bundles. If I were you I'd start with the free software... do some research first.
