Hi Guys, I am planing of launching live video streaming on my website. The thing is that i capture video from a video device and would want it to be on air live. I know that i can use windows streaming server but i don't do my own hosting. My site is hosted with hosting provider. So,how do i do it.???Please help me .reply urgetnly needed.
How about hosting it on your own box but showing the output on the hosted website by using <FRAME> or some javascript code.
You got the video device locally, while your website is hosted on a remote server. I suggested you to use some software that opens a web page on your own computer and thats where you show the video. Now, after you make sure it works online and people can see the video on your computer, put a frame on your website, so the video will be seen on your hosted site but actually it will run from your own box. Another option is just getting a software that can send the video wherever you want.
Your home network connection isn't likely to be at all fast enough to stream video across the internet, if you want to stream live video you'll need at the very least a 2meg sdsl connection, and even then probably a maximum of five people watching at once.
yes,my home network is only 2mbps connection.i want to stream it to a server and from the server other people would be ale to view.i hope this is easy because all i need to do is to stream into my hosting server and people in turn will connect to my server which will be fast enough...am i right in this regard... if possible please post any softwares that can be used... ........thanks ........
No, I meant you need a 2meg upstream, sdsl ( symmetric digital subscriber line ) most providers only give users adsl ( asymmetric digital subscriber line ). ADSL upstreams are normally a quarter ( or less ) of the downstream. Anyway, the best video software I have come across is VideoLAN, they also make a streaming server, cross platform : http://www.videolan.org/vlc/streaming.html
