I'm looking to have my website redesigned. Its currently a framed site, and I want it unframed so it is more search engine friendly. I want a fresh, modern look. My question is, if I want to hire someone to do this for me, what is a fair price to pay. How much work is involved. The site is www.fitmoves.com, its about 150 pages and was designed using frontpage.

There are alot of factors involved here... Before I would give you a quote we'd talk about the following...

If it were me, the first thing I would do is talk to you about using a CMS to manage the site. I work with 3 different CMS's depending on the need... that's not to say that these 3 are the best, but the one's that I know inside and out. (Geeklog, WordPress, and Cubecart)

So there would be 4 possible outcomes (No CMS, wordpress, geeklog, cubecart) each of which would have a different effect on the quote price.

After that was decided the next thing I would ask you about was the actual layout and how you wanted it presented. This also would affect the quote price. A simple 2 column with a header and a footer is going to cost less than a 3 column with the ability to have multiple seperate divs to break the content column into seperate areas...

Then we'd have to talk about images and whether or not they were provided or needed to be created and their complexity.

After those things were decided then I'd look at the content itself (which there's alot of) and determine how it would be incorporated into the site. The cost of which would be affected by what the choice was on the CMS and how the layout is structured...

So all that said, it's kind of hard to say what I think a fair price would be. For me you'd be looking at somewhere between $250 and $4000+ depending on your choices.
