[help] Preserving redirects while changing hosts

I will be changing hosts shortly. My problem is that I have configured some 301 directs from old pages to new pages on my own website. While I move, will the redirects will be retained on my new host or how can ensure that redirects are retained.

I know that this may have something to do with .htacess file. Any leads?

    Thank you.

Move the .htaccess file with you when you move to a new host.. What I am saying is to, make sure the .htaccess file is set up the same way on the new host as it was on the old host.

Be sure to have the new files in place before cancelling your old hosting...
