Help pls - Question About Tags

    For my wordpress blog, I use a lot of tags. If I have an article about the New York Giants, I might have tags such as baseball, nfl, NY Giants.

    I have quite a number of articles on my blog and the number of tags is even greater. Should I limit tags to something like 50 tags and categorize all my blog posts into those 50 tags or is it ok to have lots and I mean lots of tags?

    I'm asking this because my site is running slow and I'm wondering if it is the tags that are slowing it down?

    Everybody will have their own opinions, but for me 30-35 tags is my limit. Even that's pushing it. :)

    A whole lotta Tags really doesn't matter as long as they are relevant and the words that are assigned as tags are mentioned in the post. So just be relevant! :)
