My website(forum) has been continously getting attacked by DOS over the past 24 hours by many different dedicated servers set up by one person from a rivaling website. I have purchased a hosting plan from this forum by a member by the name of funforums. I have plan A from the topic below and was considering upgrading to his new plan but not anymore. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=758744 I reported an attack that crashed my site before and told him it was a DOS attack. He said the server is completely protected but I am continuously being attacked now and still am. I don't know what to do anymore I am loosing the members of my community over this and in doing so I am loosing the months of work and money I put into my website. Does anyone know a solution? Someone suggested for him to add the programs below, but he has refused for some reason? Dos_Delfate http://deflate.medialayer.com/ Mod_Evasive http://www.hostgeekz.com/guides/Security/5...od_evasive.html APF (Advanced Policy Firewall) http://www.webhostgear.com/61.html A friend also gave me a temperary fix which was to add the code below to my index $ip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; if($ip == '190.232.150.178' or '208.43.251.234' or '173.51.207.138' or '69.162.64.123'){ die("404");} Code (markup): But I would have to be online, and I would have to notice that I am being attacked in order to block it and I can not be on my site 24/7... I have tried adding it to the Deny IP on the cPanel X but that doesn't seem to be doing anything at all either.
