Iv been trying to think of a one-two word brand new that fits nice with the life style scene. A name that will represent streetwear clothing well. Examples are: Supreme Classy Deny Nifty DGK Fancy These one words are a lot more competitive but I was hoping I could get some feedback or ideas and maybe I can put something together. All suggestions are appreciated!
exactly, what will be your website, a shop? a blog? a company site? a fansite, fanzine, forum? Will you promote your products or others? tell us more
Clothing line. Main audience is younger teens but will be all ages. I will be covering the music scene, skate board scene, etc. Just a street wear brand Would like to keep it one word.
In my experience, you need to be talking to a guy with a ponytail and multiple body piercings like you find at the big agencies. I know someone in marketing in a big sneaker company and they go out to the street, the basketball courts, etc., to see what new names/brands might be hot given the current vocabulary. However, sans ponytail or piercings, I will offer my thoughts. How about using a different synonym for "street" and a different synonym for "wear" Some possibilities for street: boulevard avenue highway road lane Some possibilities for wear: outfit garb fashions garment attire I kind of like RoadGarb, but now I am probably just demonstrating why I hire creative types (because I am not a good one.) Of course, you could use this process as a starting point for a brainstorming session.
How about "street scene" or "street wear" or "Roadfit" or "lane walk". It can be any name related to street and music.
"Dizzy" generally has a bad connotation in the U.S., anyway. Dizzy generally means that you are spinning around and not thinking clearly. Not sure that is a name worth branding.
I don't think he's talking about an actual "street" lol Boulevardoutfit? Really? But seriously, here are some suggestions: Left Prenup Sweet Sweetspot Nugget If you think these are stupid, there's a brand actually named "Flying Coffin" so, yeah..
Street wear? IMHO, avoid ANYTHING that sounds even the remotest bit literary. No "apparel", no "garment", no "classy". And anything old, so no "nifty", "wicked", "fancy". You'd be better off picking something that has nothing to do with clothes. "DGK" works because it says nothing, works as a logo and people think abbreviations/acronyms are cool. Alternatives could be based on a visual image, which you could use as a logo. From things as simple as a colour and animal (Red Llama, Blue Chicken - no those aren't real suggestions ) to a "bad" or "crazy" inanimate object (Gangsta Tree, Chung Gear - again, not really suggestions) to a single word brand name (Nike or Adidas being great examples). Note: I suck at actually producing concrete ideas, but the theory is sound.
