Dear DP Community I'm a long time reader of the forums but a first time poster. I'm writing to you tonight because I can't sleep. I'm miserable and I'm even thinking about suicide because I am losing my family business and there is nothing I can do about it. I wouldn’t have posted this if we weren’t in dire straits. We have a competitor that’s on a campaign to harass us and sabotage our name by posting slander spam all over the internet primarily on our yahoo reviews page. http://local.yahoo.com/info-43677314-desert-rose-ranch-jupiter We cannot stop this person from doing it and it has been going on for months. She uses multiple aliases to post the negative reviews. This person owns the ranch across the street and has been making threats for months. She's already caused us to lose 60% of our business and now that season is here she has escalated her campaign of hate in the time of year we normally do best. We are about to lose our stables due to foreclosure because of the impact of all this negative publicity. I'm at my wits end. My husband and I have worked so hard to build this place from nothing. Our ranch is a labor of love where we raise horses and provide a summer camp for the children. The kids love our camp and our animals and it would be such a loss to lose everything because of this individuals’ hate and jealousy. We've contacted the police but they can't help because they said unless there is a physical threat, there is no crime and she is smart enough to evade the law. Hiring an attorney is too costly for us now. Some of our customers have posted reviews but it is not enough. I'm begging you guys to do what you can to stop her. What a shame, don't give her the satisfaction that she has gotten to you - and suicide talk is crazy as.
If this were a true story they would have a valid legal cause of action. As for hiring an attorney vs sitting around an losing 60% of the business, common sense says the attorney would be worth the money if the situation was legit. This sounds more like another scammer building a campaign to destroy someone's business. Where's the moderator? This sort of activity should be banned.
