I have to pay this merchant $280 and the only option paypal is allowing me is an echeck. I called paypal but they won't fix it and the merchant isn't willing to signup for another payment processor. I have moneybooker, alertpay, mpayy, and googlecheckout. Would someone be willing to use their paypal account to pay this guy and I will use one of my other account to pay you? This is the only option I can think of and I need to pay him right away. If anyone has run into this same issue, how did you resolve it and make the payment to the merchant?
If the merchant is using Paypal for their transaction processing, you can usually pay without logging into your Paypal account. Then you will have the option of ccard, etc.
Im not too sure but I think you need to be a verified buyer if you have crossed your monthly mark. Maybe thats the reason PP wants you to pay with a CC.
Well if PayPal is allowing you to send echeck then why dun you send echeck to the merchant? Will be cleared in couple days and then he can proceed with his service.
katsneak: The merchant doesn't have that option. To pay him, I will need to sign into my paypal account. HundredProof: I am verified and I even upgraded my account from Personal to Premier, hoping that it would help but I still can't use my credit card for that transaction. radhika.writer: I told the merchant about the echeck but he doesn't want to wait and says that he has another client ready to take the last spot if I can't pay. luckyv172's: This is my first time dealing with this merchant and western union won't offer me any protection if he doesn't follow though on the service, I will be out $300 plus fees. I can't risk that unless I know the person personally. I just found out that katsneak's idea works if I have the merchant send the bill to a non paypal email address. The only problem I have now is that all my credit cards are registered with my paypal account. Does anyone know if I can remove one credit card then use it to make the purchase? I know paypal will track it because it's the same credit card number, but is there a chance that they may not let it go though?
