Hello everyone, Last month i had bought a mobile phone from ebay.When i got it it was water damaged so i opened a dispute and the seller asked me to resend them the item.I did that..Yesterday was my last date on whihc my paypal dispute would automatically close..So what i did is i escalated my dispute to a claim.After few hours i got a notification from paypal asking me to submit my tracking number.I did that and after doign that i got a message written in my paypal account.It goes like this Tracking Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxx Shipping Company: IN Indiapost Once we confirm delivery, a refund will be issued to your PayPal account. This tracking information has been shared with the seller. No further action is required of you at this time. So what does this mean?Will i get my money back?What if the seller doesnt inform ebay when they get the shipment.What will happen to my cash then?Will i get my refund..... Also since i have escalated to a claim will that freeze the sellers paypal account.... Also if the sellers account is in short of cash then how will i get my refund then? Plz help me out guys..am sweating bullets..... Thank you
the paypal will send the tracking number to seller if seller provides that they have shipped the item the seller wins the claim and you loose money and if there is any chance to win then you can get money back.. if you escalated to a claim then seller account be freezed they will get negative balance in there account all the best
Bro u got 1 thing wrong...How can the seller win...I had returned the damaged item to him and i have given paypal proof of the tracking number i got from the post office.....In that case how will the seller win? Also 1 more thing...Right now in my paypal dispute page...I cant see the date when the dispute will be ending...It says i will get refund once the seller confirms that he got the item...What if he never replies to paypal..Then what shall i do?
Dude paypal will track the shipment from that shipping number which you gave to them, if it proofs that your item have reached to the seller they will refund your money and in the event that seller dun reply to the PayPal, after a defined time PayPal will still refund your money. Now in case seller dun have sufficient balance in paypal at the time of filing a dispute, balance of his PayPal would have gone in negative but you won't get money back until buyer has that much amount in his PayPal, till then his balance will remain negative. But if buyer had sufficient amount in his PayPal account at time of filing a dispute, PayPal will freeze that much money and will send that to you after case's time period is over.
Thank u radhika..but how is this fair to me..If the seller doesnt have that much cash in his paypal acc during the time i made the dispute..Then how will i get my money back? Also how long do i have to wait if the seller doesnt respond?Do u know how many more days i have to wait?
They would take the money from the sellers bank account but if it was done quick enough then the seller should have the money in the PP account.
either its a win win situation for you since no matter the outcome as long as you provided the tracking number your sure to win your money back.
