DBAN is exactly what you're looking for.

There are also other tools that write a series of 0's to your hard drive multiple times.

Make a back up and save to external HDD

Make a zero fill to hard disk for clean and best formating.

Deleting the files from the computer system simply does not mean that they have been deleted permanently. They can be recovered from the Recycle Bin or by using some backup recovery program by some hackers or some unauthorized persons. The tool Kernel File Shredder helps in permanently deleting the vital information or database records of organizations from the client’s network. The tool can be downloaded from http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/kernel-file-shredder.html
