    Hi guys,

I have a guy who is interested in placing his link in my website. He is giving me $400 for doing this. But i m afraid to do so cos of fear of losing my PR and ranking. His websites page rank is 6 compared to mine i.e. 5. So will it be ok to include his name, without my ranking shuffling????? Will it help my website ????

If the site was related to your site then it's ok. Your site won't get hurt.

$400 is dam good. I would take it :)
Dont do it per year. Do it per month since if it will effect you can just take it off :)

Depends how much you care about your site. If it’s a site you really care for I would stay away. Is $400 worth the chance that your site will be penalised?

ask him if he don't mind a nofollow tag for the link then go ahead. paid nofollow link won't be penalize. and if he still agree than negotiate for duration term.

Is the site is a nice, clean one ? Would you like to link to it even if you were not offered money ?

    If yes, go ahead.

I agree with Redspace. If your sites are the same niche, I would assume he is looking for traffic from your site to his, rather than trying to sap on some of your PR juice.

See if the buyer would be okay if you use the no-follow tag, and explain to him why you prefer to use this.

    Good luck

Look up "bad neighborhoods" and google. If the site is bad you certainly will get penalized. If he has pr6 it's probably okay, but they may have changed things since they got pr. If the site is related it won't hurt too much but are still leaking pr.

I think you PR will not drop unless some one report that you have paid links on your site:)
