    Hey Guys n' Gals,

I have just set up a new football news and prediction website, it has been in the pipelines for a little while and it is finally set up. However I am stuggling of ways to advertise it, I am doing the normal directory submission and attempting word of mouth however it isnt working at the minute,

Does anyone have any ideas. I really think this website can do well, Its main advantage is that there aren't many football predictions website.

I have bags of time on my hands at the minute and want to have it in full swing by next season (august)

    http://www.myfootbalhq.com - Main News Site
    http://predict.myfootballhq.com - Prediction Site

All ideas welcome with open arms, Thanks for reading.

    Kieran

Have you tried article marketing yet? Or Submitting Press Releases? Adwords and so-on?

Well for one the homepage of your site is down for some reason ( Giving me a 500 internal server error ). Now onto the marketing, I would try posting on football related forums and putting the link to your site in your signature to get some targeted traffic. Also try and write predictions for matches and get them on top football sites you know. Do a bit of social bookmarking, blog commenting on football blogs and even a bit of advertising on Twitter. Send out tweets about current going on Football games and link to your site in the tweet and people searching for that team will see your tweet.

    Hello,

Since you were saying that you have a large advantage of your site being a NFL Predicting site and that there are not alot of them out there, then one of the main things you should do is contact other large Football sites and talk with their webmaster and let them know what you are doing, and that you can help be of service to their visitors because you do something that they don't offer.

Their visitors will then gain more services from their website, so they would want to add you to their site, because their main purpose is their visitor, and if their visitors are gaining more information from their site why not?

At the same time you are getting nice traffic from high ranked sites already and this will not only help your traffic but will help your ranking because the more loyal links that come to you the better in search engines eyes.

Start a blog, ask other bloggers to review your site plus all the above. Try some competitions advertised on forums etc.

Took a quick look at your prediction site. It's basically a table, without any explanation of what everything means or why anyone would want to see it. All the marketing in the world won't help if people come to your site then don't know what it all means. Perhaps to the experienced, it's great, but to the novice like me, I'd just click away.

The news site won't be really popular if you just continue to show excerpts from Sky and the Beeb.

Write some fresh content of your own, and try and get into Newsnow if possible.

About the prediction site- introduce a cash prize or two to start off.

Partner with some online football retailers to offer the winner a free shirt of their choice.

Once there are incentives in place, advertise on forums and social networking sites to get the buzz going.
