Hi. I need some help on selecting a good keyword. I typed in "urban clothing" and found "urban women clothing" showing 3600 local search volume this month and half filled in the competitive meter. Is this a good keyword to aim for? Is 3600 high? medium? or low? What else should I be aware of? Thanks.
3600 is low. I have a keyword counts 3600 and my web stay on #1 and sometimes #2 and average I only have about 10 visitors per day from local google.
3600 is low, you can win the keyword. You must optimize your page like title tag and your keyword position, optimize your image by inserting keyword. Build quality backlink I think you can win the keyword. You can get free ebook from my website, the link in my signature, it will explain to you how we do that.

Hi, KEI = Keyword Effectiveness Index It is a measurement that many people use when choosing best keyword to target. As mentioned above, the formula is correct. By having this type of formula, comparison of keywords will be more fair and accurate as both factors (searches volume and numbers of competition) being taken care. The higher KEI value for any keyword, the better chance for u to be ranked high in SE for that keyword. It is as simple as that. So, to make it short..if u want to know the KEI for any keyword, you should have (in hand) numbers of search as well as competition. Next question will come then...what KEI numbers can be considered as good? 100?..200?..500?..1000?..10000?..etc? At this junction, actually no exact formula or figure can be given to say that keyword is good or not. So, back to basic...KEI is just a figure for comparison purposes. Not an exact 'decision making tool'. Just my two cent Thanks. p/s: If u need help, i can do little favor to provide complete keyword research for any niche. Just PM me your 'root keyword' and i will come back with the full report in Excel format.
