Hi to all, I am a new to adwords. I found a product - converting good. Now my burning questions is, i choosed a single keyword - popular one. CPC is 0.1 Daily budget is $100. Expected Average clicks per day is 1000 clicks. For one sale - commission is $19. So, my question is Out of 1000 clicks if i make 6 sales ,i am on profit more than $10 per day. Burning question is, Will i make 6 sales out of 1000 clicks, is it guaranteed. But the product is really good and it is one of the hot product. I am on a very tight budget. But i am ready to take risk. I request all DPs to kindly the throw their comments. The AD is live. My Evaluation is, If a product is good converting then it should make one sale out of every 100 clicks. Am I right?
Yeah that's usually right. If you're direct linking, well you never know. Often you need some sort of landing page. Take a look at Chris McNeeney's Water Gas landing page, he made over $2k a day for a while on this landing page alone. http://www.allcbreviews.com/autos/water4cars.html That kind of template converts, and it converts WELL. If you're direct linking, well I guess it's fine. Just be careful. If you haven't made a sale in 100-200 hops, I say scrap the campaign. If you want to do the landing page, great, just make sure it's a good one as this is a very sensitive area. I say the same thing there, no sales in 100-200 VISITORS, scrap the campaign. Visitors, not hops. I suggest "copying" Chris' template if you are doing it, at least for now and you're on a tight budget, that's proven to sell so don't take any chances.
Hi lemonarian, Thanks for your response. And Hey i made a sale ya, within 60 clicks. I am happy now and confident too. This is the very first time i have my money made online. 24 july 2008 i will not forget. i will implement your idea only when i have made more money and get a person to do that kind of landing page for me. i have preserved the link. Thank you once again. And if you have any advice for me to proceed please...
Fine If you have multiple keywords, you MUST use a new adgroup for every keyword. This shouldn't be too difficult. Just create a new ad group for every keyword, and use the keyword as your TID on in the hoplink in the destination URL. For example your keyword is "water fuel cell" (just an example)... Then in the destination URL with your hoplink you assign that keyword as your tracking ID. Like this: http://yourid.vendorID.hop.clickbank.net?TID=YOURKEYWORDHERE For example: http://bobjones82.water4gas.hop.clickbank.net?TID=waterfuelcell Get it? Of course this is irrelevant if you only advertise on one keyword, but if you have multiple this is a must if you don't want to lose money. Why? Because you can see which keywords are making you money and which ones are not. Some keywords could bring tons of clicks but no sales, and that would be costing you money instead. So then you can scrap the crappy keywords by just deleting the adgroup, and of course keep the good ones. Good luck!
Also this thread just inspired me to try out some PPC, lol. I had about 30 bucks in my adwords account... It's direct linking, but to a CPA offer paying 20 bucks a lead. One conversion so far, and I'm paying for crazy high clicks. Average $1.6 CPC... One conversion though, and a very nice conversion rate so it's cool. Good luck to you mate and congrats on the sale, the first one is the best one It gets easier from now on.
i choosed a single keyword - popular one. - generally if its a popular keyword(especially a single word) it does not convert well since people searching with that keyword are normally interested in lot of things that can be irrelevant to what you are selling - remember ppc is a matter of buying clicks interested in buying only. Will i make 6 sales out of 1000 clicks, is it guaranteed. - no guaranteed ever, some days you might have 6 sales, other days 12, other 3 - it vary from day to day, time of day, product, period of year, weather and million other things. Its kind of a probability game, you buy a random amount of clicks and some of them convert to sales. Depending on the clicks quality the probability of sales increase. If a product is good converting then it should make one sale out of every 100 clicks. - this depend greatly on how you presell the product and the clicks origin. Frankly 1 sale in 100 clicks is not a lot, even if some people think its an amazing rate. Picture it like you have a room full of 100 people and you try to sell them an item, unfortunately only 1 person buy the product from those 100 - this mean that 100 people are not really interested or your product is crap. (in most cases they are not interested) Another example: if someone search for "buy product", you can expect a sale every 10-20 clciks or even less
