Is it worthwhile creating a site for a keyword which has a max bid of $9.50 on overture?
The keyword was searched about 20K times in the last month.

The topic is also of my liking and creating of content would not be much of a problem.

I am new to adSense and still not sure of the financial feasibilty.
    Help me decide:confused:

I would say go for it and then work on SEO.

    Good luck!

The nine dollar keyword is meaningless, as far as your earnings are concerned. You should NEVER pick a niche based on a top bid.

Take Mesothelioma, for example. People know that AdSense pays PENNIES for that keyword, yet the top bid is $11 bucks. If you look at overture bids, you'll see how quickly the bids are dropping off. That's a sign of a bad AdSense niche. In a sense, you are better off going into a niche where the top bid is 80 cents and the 10th bid is a 50 cent, because it's a sign of stable earnings for you.

You can ignore top 3 bids, because you won't make even one fifth of that, I can guarantee that.
