Hi I am very new to affiliate marketing but have done a fair bit of research and this past weekend set up my first campaign. I started my adds on AdWords this Saturday evening and didn't expect to see too much until I did some some tweaking. My statistics for Sunday night Impressions 4024 clicks 83 I'm pretty happy with this as my ad is directed to people ready to buy Now the good bit 4 sales at $33.92 = $135.68 couldn't be happier for my first day This is great I thought. I have withheld the urge to run any further campaigns (apart from 1 very small numbers one) until I have a check in my hand. But today I am a little concerned Todays stats so far Impressions 2131 clicks 56 I think that's going really well also as my CTR is up from yesterday. Problem is it's 3.00pm pacific standard time (I'm in a different time zone) and I have made zero sales. Unless I'm missing something at clickbank, but I should be able to just refresh My account page to see new sales, correct? So I guess my question is, is this normal? Should I be worried? The only changes I have made to my landing page is some extra key words in the page title. Thanks heaps.
What are you stressing over? You should be jumping up and down.. Hell relax.. people don't shop everyday you know... be happy.. goodness.. don't be so picky.. Great job and good luck with the rest of your campaign
I don't mean to be picky I was just worried it was common for your first day to be your best and It's scary for a new comer with little starting capital to see their profit being eaten up AdWords. Thanks for your encouragement though.
I would prefer not to at this stage. No offense. I understand it is hard to answer my questions with out all the information though.
I guess . $25 a day. But as I said on a limited budget it's a scary thought possibly throwing money away.
I have learnt from many failures to treat every business venture as an experiment of learning experience. If you are finding out information that can only be learnt from actually doing and not theory then you are never throwing money away. I would stay low until you have a proven method to minimise your "expected" losses. I say expected as thats another thing I do for new ventures is expect to lose my capital. That way I never get in trouble as I invest what I can afford to lose. Saying all that I dont lose money anymore but I learnt some hard lessons early on. Good luck and congrats on the first day. Let us know how the rest of the first week goes.
