Help needed with getting links from articles, this question is driving me crazy!

I have had some success with submitting articles to goarticles/ezine articles etc. I have just done a search on one of my articles to see how many backlinks it has generated and there is something puzzling me.

The article has been syndicated to about 10 different sites/blogs and seems really popular, the only thing is they don't print the whole article, they just put the first few lines and link from the article title back to the original on goarticles. So, this means that those 10 potential backlinks are linking to goarticles, not my site. If they had printed the whole article, they would have had my signature link at the bottom so it would have got a link for me but because they just publised the title, I miss out on a backlink.

Am I missing something here? Is there a way to get links to the site I am supposed to be genreating links for, rather than just 10 backlinks to goarticles?

    Hey.

It looks like that site is just scraping the GoArticles feed to automate content creation on their old site.

I'd recommend you try iSnare to distribute your articles - that seems to yield good results for me.

Failing that, put a different version of the article on each of the main article sites and be happy with a link from them.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket here. Try some other linkbuilding methods as well :)

Be happy for what you are getting, reasons are..

    - your goarticle page is building backlinks and becoming famous, that has a followed link to your site.
    - goarticle page will also send some targeted traffic
    - people/bloggers find that article interesting might start writing a short note on their site and link to your site. (long run advantage)

You can't have a followed link in the goarticle/ezine article so the articles syndicated by them will not get you any link juice from others, rather have a link at least so that you get some traffic to your site.

In the long run, you do not miss anything. Since goarticles is a stage for people to find information. It would do good to your site.

The site is pulling the RSS from goarticles. But their backlink is nofollow.

Result for you: Nothing. You gained nothing.

hpgoodboy has hit the nail on the head.. What is the point of writing articles if it doesn't generate a link to the site I am trying to promote. I am not looking to get traffic from my articles, I am trying to build links by distributing the article. I must be missing something here as I know other people are getting links with their articles
