I want to reinstall Windows Xp soon, as I got a virus and after cleaning the computer doesn't work as smooth as before. I gives some strange erros and sometimes it justs hangs up... I want to backup Outlook Express emails and settings before reinstall, and restore afterwards. Any help?

Here is a complete tutorial. After backing up and saving the files I would either upload them to a server to download later or burn them to a disk.

    Hope this helps.

There used to be a web site oehelp.com. I never tried their software - luckily my OE works well - but i know a couple of people that used it and they are pretty happy with it. I have no relation to that site at all.

In OE< you can export all the messages to a file. Save it and upload it to your server.
Also try if you can restore it in any other machine.
    Then go ahead with reinstalling.
