PLEASE EXCUSE ME IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG SECTION - I JUST THOUGHT
SELLING A SITE WOULD INVOLVE MARKETING! PLEASE MOVE THIS THREAD
    IF NECESSARY

Hi guys, I'm Stephen, a new member needing some help.

First of all I would like to say that I have a product which I am planning
to sell on ClickBank (sales page and partner centre complete, waiting to
upload) and product a few days from completion. I know it's not relevant,
but for those of you who would like to know my product is a step by step
guide showing you how to turn a 2 pence piece (or any coin for that matter)
into a mini spitfire plane using tools that almost everyone already has.

The problem I face is that I am flat broke at the minute and know that
once I arrive at the point where ClickBank approves my product I will not
be able to pay the $49.50 activation fee. I have created all of the material
for my ClickBank product myself, and the last of my spare cash went on
acquiring a video camera to film the step-by-step instructional video.
To be honest I didn't even realise that there was a fee that had to be paid
prior to your site being listed in their database, I just thought that
they would be taking a percentage of each sale of my product.

The only thing that I can think of to raise the funds is (reluctantly)
selling off an affiliate site that I have been working on. Basically I
have a clickbank product on it. It hasn't made any money yet simply
because it has been loitering around on the fifth page of google for
most of it's life, however it has steadily climbed over the last few
weeks and is now at position 7 on page one.(after a social bookmarking
    campaign).

I think that once it reaches the top few results it will start to generate
sales. The main keyword gets around 3600 global exact match searches and
is the one that I am ranking for. By the way the theme of my site is
premature ejaculation. According to a few valuation sites my site is now
valued at on average $350 dollars. (how reliable are these value sites)

Really I wanted to ride this site out as it's my first try at affiliate
marketing, but I think in the short term my own product would make me a
bit more money and quicker. What's more there are a few affiliate links
that I will be placing in the resource guide that accompanies the actual
instructional video so maybe I will get some sales from them also. Plus
I figure that once the money starts coming in from ClickBank sales I
can simply start a few more dedicated affiliate sites.

So what I would like to know is what are these valuation sites reliable
and where would be the best place to sell my site, by best place I mean
where there are plenty of willing buyers and I will get the best offers.

Thanks for reading this post, sorry if I have waffled on a bit, any help
you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Ste.

Unfortunately those sites are not reliable. You site is only worth what it has earned, not what it possibly could earn. At this point it hasn't earned anything so it is probably only worth the reg fee unless you are lucky enough to find someone in that market who desperately needs another site.

Two of the BEST places to sell your site are right here on Digital Point and on Flippa.com

I agree. First of all, If your site hasn't made anything yet It isn't worth much yet. With that said, the best places to sell it are here on DP, flippa, and perhaps the warrior forum. You'd be better off holding on to it and generating some revenue from it first.

Also, I've sold a site relatively painlessly on Wickedfire. Just adding that to the mix.

You can also sell your site on Namepros, ebay, (maybe craigslist) or try the pool, namejet, - the options are endless

Hi everyone, thanks a lot for all of your help. Just went to flippa like a few of you suggested, gotta pay a bloody fee lol.

Spanishguy, its really quite an ingenious little process that my granddad figured out. I mean he actually mad a little spitfire plane from a coin lol. He also taught me how to make a display stand for it from a coin aswell.

Where to buy Arcade game site:
Depending on your requirements... If you are wanting a turnkey type solution with no traffic you can get that from ebay. The whole thing will cost you around $20-$50.
This kind of deal isn't available on flippa.com usually because their listing fees are much higher than ebay.

But if you are wanting an established arcade game site then flippa is your best bet, but try them both just incase.
