[HELP NEEDED] We want to create an online store.

Hello,

We would like to make an online store. What is the best way to go about it? We want to have full control over it, and be able to customize it, but on the same side... we need it to be user friendly. We do not know alot about html, programming, etc.

We are willing to pay for the store.

 

There are various shopping carts which you can use. But technical knowledge to integrate it with your website is needed. Best bet will be to hire a affordable web designer.

If you don't have that much budget to hire a web designer then you can open yahoo, ebay or google store and upload all products there. Its real simple but problem is you have to follow there terms of service.

if you hire a Web designer he/she will be able to provide you with a management that you don't have to deal with any coding and very simple management will be there in back end to upload your products as well as to see all orders.

The shopping cart softwares that you can use can be Oscommerce, Magneto, Joomla( little bit difficult) or your web designer can write codes in php and mysql to provide you customized shopping cart. Payment integration using authorize.net or paypal can be done.

i think oscommerce is one of the better ones out there. its really fast and can be hosted on shared hosting. all the module installation just involve copy and paste. u can hire a designer to do a custom template for u as well.

from what I remember you can get a total shopping site at vstore.ca its user friendly and gives you all the tools + its free.

I highly suggest CS Cart. It is on the pricey side but I believe it is the best one out there.

 

I would suggest Magento, it's free, open source and can do pretty much anything you need, we have 2 stores running Magento:
