I am having trouble importing anything into the Google Adwords editor.

What do I need to do to get it to work?

I have a .aes and .aea file from another person that I want to import into the Adwords editor. When I go to the File | Import Account menu it tells me that the file is the wrong type or data is corrupted (or similar words to that effect). I have also tried to import as a .csv file but no joy either.

Yes....You cannot use the import function for importing data from XLS format...

If you are adding keywords just go to keyword tab from any adgroup and press Add/Update Multiple keyword and upload keywords for all campaigns in specified given format...

    Thanks,

I was hoping to use the .aea or.aes file rather than the .csv file, as the .csv file wouldn't open properly in wordpad or Excel

However if you want to export a file you can do it in csv format.. upload will happen in in a specified format from within a campaign/adgroup to all campaigns adgroups..

There is a website using the aea file to automatically generate adwords campaigns. You supply your ad text, landing page and keywords, and it generates a campaign for you, in aea file format. You download your campaign aea file to your computer. All you need to do is import the aea file into Adwords Editor and post your changes. Campaign generation is easy, fast and saves you hours of manual labor.

Here is the campaign generator in action...

Here is the url for the actual tool...
