Help Needed to Get TraffIc!!!

I am new to blogging. I created a new blog sharing my freelancing experience. Can you please tell me guys how can I get visits and traffic to my blog. Also please check that if the design is ok.

There are both free and paid methods to generate traffic. I suppose you need to decide whether you want to get income from your blog somehow or you just want people to read it, and then choose appropriate traffic startegies.
A few suggestions for Free traffic sources:
- Blog comments
- Forum signature and informative postings
- Social Bookmarking sites
- Social networks (web2.0)
-Twitter and Facebook fan pages

These are just examples. There are a lot, lot more. But bear in mind that most free traffic generation techniue are quite consuming and hardly enough in competitive niches.

If you are going to put a lot of time and effort into your blog, I would strongly advise you to start a new one and pay for hosting. Google effectively own your blogspot blog, and can either turn it off, or decide to charge you an extortionate amount to keep it running, in the future. Get your own domain name and hosting if you are in it for the long haul. Then whatever time and money you spend will definitely benefit you ion the long run.

 

@TS yes. dont be dependent on google. go for your own website. and regarding traffic, go for a paid option as the free one is manual and time consuming.

 

I've tried many so far.
Most important thing is to keep the content going.
Ezine Articles is going really slow.
Forums traffic is nice, specially because we all are marketers when I like a blog I even make a couple of clicks on Adsense as a way to thank for the good content.
Social Networks, not much to say cause am not there yet... about to happen though
Utube brings nice traffic but their bounce rate is super high...
Directories is a nice option to drive traffic to your blog but placements are gone really fast

You should try to post on forums that have relevant topics about your niche.

 

Nice to see you on DP. Dear First of all select some keywords and target it through classifieds and then created the web 2.0 pages after this u have to use SMM networks.

 

Try to Pay Per Click and Create account on Google place.

 

The first and most important thing to get traffic on the website is to make the website deserving to be on the top of search engines. There are several factors that cause the website to lead the market and search engine results. If the website contains high quality contents providing important information it will rank well automatically and so traffic will also increase.

Your blog is all about freelancing experience the content must be natural to make an impact to your readers then when it comes to traffic try to use social media as your medium to increase your popularity. Facebook and Twitter are very popular today use their influence to acquire good traffic into your site.
