i got a windows 2003 standard edition key from my friend.. he says he got it from his comapny, and his comapany has direct tie-up with microsoft and paying microsoft for unlimited usage... but i want to test the key is legal or not? and if it is legal "how can i check it has unlimited license"? can any body tell me how to verify it?
The way to check if it has unlimited license is if it does not ask you to register it after you install it. You know the 30 day annoying register me pop up.
Hi There Not exactly sure what you mean by unlimited license. As far as I'm aware there should be one COA with product key which can be used on one server. Unless its a volume license, even then these are licensed to the company they are assigned to. Other server licenses are CALs which determine the amount of clients / users / devices that can access the server. Do you mean he has given you a key that he claims can be used more than once? Regards
Do you mean he has given you a key that he claims can be used more than once? yes,he says i can use in more than 1 pc,legally how to check it for unlimited license? that is my question... still expecting some help....
Sorry, to tell you this but it sounds like something illegal is going on. I know you don't want to hear this but it does not seem you have the right to use this CD.
