Help Needed Regarding: Paypal Limited Account Access

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by Spider Man, Aug 25, 2007.

Last night i got a mail from paypal that my account is limited.

    Got the below mail:

    I Already Provided them:
    National Identity Card
    Credit Card Statement
    Contact information
Proof of sufficient inventory (where exactly i made the deal)

    Now i got other mail:

Now the problem is i provide Service and all the things are done online .. so i can't provide them the invoice or bill.
I saw the transaction details and my clients selected Goods instead of Service/Others.
I told them regarding that ... they asked me that if i want i can give them refund and they will pay me again using Service/Others option.

I want to know that some one faced such kind of problem earlier ??? if yes then please tell me will refunding the money will really help ??

Waiting for some replies !! Thanks in advance :)

First: You posted in wrong section. This belongs to "Payment Processor" forum.

A friend of mine had the same problem and Paypal kept on asking for documents again and again. So he just refunded his clients.

What do you exactly mean by this? Do you mean refunding your clients will help your account getting restored???

Not sure sounds to me as if they are questioning the credibility of the items you sold (if they are stolen) by asking for evidence of purchase or supplier...But if it is services you have given for payment why not ask the buyers to write a letter to acknowledge this?

Otherwise if you have finalised all on your paypal account and there is no outstanding collections payments, just open a new one.

I don't think that refunding would be of any help. Once you will refund, PayPal will keep on asking for the documents. Try calling them and tell them that all of your transactions are for "Services" and a client chose "Goods' just by mistake. Maybe this could help.

    Any luck so far?

I am interested in the outcome because one of my buyers on eBay is having a problem with tempoary locked funds, which have been locked for just over a month. I overdrew on my bank account and paypal cancelled the connection between the bank account and paypal. It then said i had -£8.84 in the account. I then put £8.84 in the account, fixed the account, and it is still on hold.

    Thanks in advanced,

    Rob

Aah, this happened to me so many times

Call them up > Tell them you work from xyz forum and your username on that forum is abc and you offer 123 service on that ONLINE and they will document it all and yes please provide them with all the bills and ur residence proof and your identification details and try to have a business account from paypal than having a personal account and ending up in all such stupid limitations.

    My 2 cents advice.

    It may be your problem.

Spider Man, I suggest you upgrade to business if you deal with $X,XXX amounts.

Paypal never limited my account again after the upgrade. :)

Well, services rendered can still have Sales Invoices, basically anything done in terms of business would require you to issue invoices. They want you to proof that the transactions in questions are legitimate business transactions and not part of a money laundering scam.

Next time, each time someone wants to pay you, go to Paypal and use the Merchant Services option to send them an email invoice instead . https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_email-payments-overview-outside

I guess it works but I guess any dumb would do that if he/she has a good business online. Why not get a real credit card and be safe?? You never know when PayPal gets strict against VCCs.

@ Eddy , this is what every one should do and I've seen some serious business people on DP doing that. This also helps when it comes to filling in tax forms etc.
And this doesn't take long to do (only a few clicks) and you are cool.
