Buyers win disputes if they paid by credit card via PayPal and do a chargeback on their credit card. PayPal has little choice but to refund as per their agreement with the credit card companies.
If someone bought a digital product (ie domain) with their PayPal balance (not directly with a credit card) then PayPal will not refund.

sad to hear that. Now I advice you go to icann and open a dispute with this case and get your domains back.At least you're not losing everything, you can get back the domain.

What? As the buyer I have lost all the time with digital goods. Every time. Only about 3 or 4 times, but every time.

I recently bought domainzaar. What a piece of crap. Do you think paypal cared one bit? Nope. I lost 99.00 just like that. The seller refused to talk to me, and paypal says oh well.

Sorry, but I think you are out the money!

I've once "won" a dispute against a scammer whom i met on other forum. Well, at least paypal told me the dispute has turned into "my favor". But they ALSO told me they couldn't recover my funds, and would take actions against the scammer's account. But i suspect the best that they did was just banned that guy's account.

But i still lost my money.
