Help needed in php code.

    Hello,

    I am very new student of PHP with no programing background. I have to make a shipment tracking system with following features.

    Front end :

    >> Track Shipment
    >> Detailed Status

    Admin Panel :

    >>Add Shipment
    >> List Shipment
    >> Update Status << This feature confusing me a lot
    >> Status wise reports

    can anybody please help me out step by step how can i to do this.
    I am confused in database table structure. I can do coding for add shipment, list shipment. but i don't know how can admin edit status and how it will store in db and will display to user.
    this is my finale project for my php certificate. If any one can help than i shell be very thankful to you. after submitting the project i can get my certificate, otherwise. :( :( :(

    depends what update status means, does it mean change the shipment from being shipped to delivered or does it mean that the admin has to add each part of the shipment process.
    Example:
    shipment to port
    update->shipment on boat
    update->shipment at sea
    update->shipment at destination port
    update->shipment off boat
    update->shipment at delivery office
    update-> shipment delivered
    update-> shipment closed

    Date: time : Location : Comments
    01-01-09 10:00PM Lahore On delivery
    02-01-09 11:00 PM Karachi On Delivery
    03-01-09 09: AM Islamabad Delivered

    i want to know how to do this with php and database.

    you would need a table containing:
    tracking id
    date
    time
    location
    comments

    The admin would then search the database for the tracking id, this would then bring up the entry for the item and you would just create a form to edit that entry.

    post your database tables here and i will advise you

    I have created a database and do coding. and i have did most things right. But now i don't know to do add search feature in this. Right now i have made that user can , add shipment, update status, view status, now i want to add search function so anyone can search from a number and its status will display.
    I have attached all files and database. So please check and guide me according to this.
