Need some advice on creating good anchor links for my site. Should I create page ( ie: http://www.napoleon.cc/barrie-home-inspector ) and link from index page to this page, would this be a good anchor link? Would appreciate some guidance of proper way to do this for best optimization Thanks for help, Roger
I'm not really clear on what you are asking here. To me it seems like you are asking if it is a good idea to link from your index page to a subpage. But I suspect you are asking for something more? If you are asking about what text to use for your link - do some keyword research and find out what people are searching for.
it is good if you will link your subpages to your index page...while on creating a title for your pages...you should make it unique and include your targeted keywords but avoid keyword stuffing...
tlainevool is write - the issue is not clear to me. are you asking anchor text? if so it is not the link text from your site (for seo purpose), it's should be from another site, called link back. when they give you a link for your site the text (in which they give you the link) should be your keyword and it called anchor text - this is very much important for high search engine ranking.
A good anchor text is one that describes the targeted page. Think of what is that page about and how to summarize it into 2 to 3 words.
I was talking to a guy about SEO and he told me to put some links on my page linking to another page on my site, that would be called in my case, Barrie Home Inspector, and it would look like this I assume: http://www.napoleon.cc/Barrie-Home-Inspector.html That is what I got from the conversation. Not sure if I am right or if it is worth doing. No problem creating pages, have lots of content, but I want to get some worthwhile results Thanks Roger
Hi Johnson it is a good step for seo. you can create a page (name with key phrase) and link from home or sitemap page or the link may be in footer portion. but the page should be full of good content.
