I was going to go with webhostingpad, but they would not transfer my mysql databases from a parallal h-sphere control panel to their server..so now I am going with hostfever. I am having problems accessing the control panel of my site, and I think the current host has changed the access username and password, to irk me in some way, in revenge for my badgering them for my EPP code, which I was told by webhostingpad I needed to give them in order to allow my site to be transferred...does this make sense to anyone??? EPP code??? also...to transfer a site from one host to another, is ftp access alone enough???
you don't need any code to move data , but you need authorization (EPP) for moving domain, is that domain offered for free by your present hosting ? or you have transfered you domain to them before?
Go with a well establish shared hosting like Hostgator, or a established VPS company if you can't take risks.
You need the EPP code to transfer your domain, hopefully you registered the domain yourself and not your current host.
