i would give paypal a call and let them know. Although i believe its in there tos that if you recieve a payment over a certain ammount it turns into a business account so. Good luck
There is no harm is getting a personal account apart from your premier account. However, you have to note that you are not allowed to spilt payments between your premier and personal account just to save on the charges as that is prohibited by your agreement with paypal. See https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/UserAgreement/ua/USUA-outside#receive-policy
While no one likes to pay out fees to PayPal, remember that it does cost PayPal a lot of money to operate. If you went to a bank to get an account for credit card and payment transactions it would cost much more.
Make one account Premier One and other as a Personal One. Accept Payments to a premier account if they are quite big enough but if they are small ones then accept in personal account. How ever do not split payments in between them
Yes it costs a lot to operate payment processing system, But remember that paypal keeps funds under its control and does not give any interest(also don't forget the banned paypal accounts with blocked money in paypal's claws), that means PayPal is already making a lot of money from our funds. @quickseller: You can create a personal account and accept the payments, as far as I know personal account holders can accept 12 credit cards payments in a year without having to upgrade. I think this info will be helpful: http://www.superwebpro.net/2007/11/...sspremier-paypal-account-to-personal-account/
Actually PayPal does pay interest. At least they do with my account. I also get a cashback bonus for every bit I spend using the debit card.
You can gain a little more interest with the Money Market Account that PayPal offers. 1% cashback from the debit card and while saving money in the account that gains 4.xx%.
Actually you are wrong, it is 5 credit card payments in 12 months at a higher service charge. See https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside
