I currently own a website that has been moderately successful with adsense. But I know I can make it much, much more profitable by beefing up the content and making it subscription/members only. My problem: I don't know how to "upgrade" the site. I don't know how to set up a username/password login... I don't know how to design pages that are available to paying members only... I don't know how to "program" anything. I *do* know basic static html. I also know how to use my wysiwyg web page editor quite efficiently. So..... let's say I want to "upgrade" my site. And I want to make so that: People pay a fee, they choose a screenname and password, they log in to access additional content. What do I need to learn? How do I do it? What should I read? Where should I go? ...or how expensive would it be to hire someone to set up such a system? Just curious.... thank you for any and all responses. - FB P.S. PHP and MySQL is the way forward. Plenty of user registration scripts out there that you can use to do this, but they will require PHP and MySQL.
