Help: need to switch hosts, how do I transfer WP blog?

    Hi all,

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    I need to switch hosts and I'm wondering how easy or hard it will be to move my wordpress blog. Do I just do a backup and then install at the new host? or?

    If both sites are cpanel, the admins at the new host can pull everything from site to site completely in some cases.

    If not, you are looking at file moves, db moves and cpanel setup of emails and such.

    as said above /\/\

    the most important thing is to backup the database, wp has a backup plugin installed by default u just need to activate it.
