Hopefully this is the right place. I bought a domain from a member about a month ago, paid him, and proceeded to have a nightmare of a time getting control of the domain from Registerfly. It's now part of GoDaddy's database, but despite multiple expensive long distance calls from my cell phone, they can't help me.

Why? Because the guy who sold it to never bothered to change the ownership from the person before him to me. He also seemed to carefully avoid ever emailing me. Now, his DP membership seems to be banned. I need to reach the person who owned the domain before him, but that person may not recognize my email addr and let it go through the spam filter.

So, how do I get in touch with the intermediate, a banned DP member? Or is there a way I can find out if he was banned for doing the same thing to others? (He set a BIN price for 4 domains. I offered it, then he tried to increase it. So I said, I only want one domain. You keep the rest. I paid him full price. But of course, he didn't tell me that he had been unable to change the registration, and had refused to let me transfer the domain, only willing to push it to me if I created a RegisterFly account.)

Any help/ suggestions is/are appreciated. The domain has PR and will probably lose it if I don't get this resolved in the next week or two. It's been about 4 weeks of headaches. GoDaddy says they can't do anything. (I own nearly 100 domains with them but that doesn't seem to matter, even though I have the customer number and account name.)

    thanks

Go to his profile and send him an e-mail. Unless he set it to private.

You got ripped off Buddy, he Scammed you perhaps.
GoDaddy and RegFly both offer free registration and free domain push between members, so its not like any rocket science. If he ever wanted to give you the domain he could have done it within 2 mins.

I hope you hadnt paid a hefty price for that domain...
