Hi, I think you can try these methods. Use your website URL in forum signatures, submit your websites to social bookmarking website such as StumbleUpon, ping your website.
From what I understand and of course I could be wrong, but with a forum one of the best thing is a constant update of content. Perhaps you could pay people to post to your forum or find people to do it for free. If the forum looks active not only will you have a fresh supply of new content daily, but also when you visitors come they will more likely stay and participate.
I totally agree kbeus. For me its a constant struggle between adding new content, and leaving some posts from others there so it looks like i am not the only one active. If i post too much then it looks like its just me there... I have tried some paid posters before, but their quality is sadly lacking unfortunately.
