Hi, I am creating a logo for a woman's photography company but I'm currently stumped. She wants a dragonfly, and she wants the main colors to be gold and brown. Any advice would be appreciated. I have this first proof but something is very off about it and I'm not content. Can't decide what I should change. Thanks again.
Try to depict the name of the photographer using these elements. It's not mandatory to use full shapes minimal makes more impact. Sont use shadows not good for logos. There are verity of dragon flies use a better one. Hide a secret message in your logo.
Use dragonfly in a creative way. customize it for the client. negarajdh is correct, minimal style is very effective for logo. you just have to make sure that it looks good in a small or large scale also in black and white.
I'm not sure how good that logo would look in black and white, I feel like you'd lose a lot. Definitely work at simplifying it. Break it up into shapes and try and stick with two colors, definitely dump the shading on the wings and the glow around the circle.
