Help, one of our client is contacting us that his website is building links or spamming links to a weather website. But we are not aware that we are building links to any weather website. I tried to check the inbound links for the weather site and I confirmed that we have indeed backlinks on them and a lot of it around 100+, can anyone enlighten me why this is happening? Is there some script or a google bomb perhaps.
if you are giving away 100+ links to the weather site, then there must be sitewide linking going on from your client site. if you are offering SEO services, you should be able to analyze your client site's source code and find out where these links are going from. it could be an injected code that was injected by hackers or the code could be within the template itself.
