I listed my site for sale at Digitalpoint Forums at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1796106

One of the Member (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=415379) here at DP contacted me to purchase my site. We had a deal of $300 though i put up my site for $350. But he told me that he would first pay $120 and pay the remaining after a few days. He Being a premium member, i accepted (I know it was a mistake)...He paid the $120 and from then on It has been almost a month now and he is not replying to my PMs. He is not willing to pay the remaining $180. Once he replied saying that his wife gave birth to kids and that was why he was not replying... i waited for another week and found out that he was active in the forum. But even then he is not replying to me. What can i do?? Can Somebody help me on how to sort out this issue..??? Please .. Im Desperate..cause i gotta pay somewhere else..

    His Signature is like this:
Please ignore my negative itrader - My wife gave birth, so 2 idiots decided to jump the gun, and post negative itrader without even waiting for my response! All is well though, my partner gave birth to a healthy baby girl

I don't think DP does anything against this since it's your own responsibility to look over the trades and use a contract / 3rd party to help. Legally it's better to just take the lost of $180 than to fight it, but it's your choice. In the future be smart about it and get some side help.

Go to where the mods sit along with shawn and ask them if anything can be done.

Always get full payment upfront, thats your failing. People trust to easily on the internet. All i need to buy is premium for 1m and i can save $$ because people giv me more respect.

Cash upfront, then you get your goods.

When we are selling websites, it is always better to get the full payment before giving the website to the buyer.
Google can't do nothing about it, it is not its job to fix problems without websites flippers!

You'll have to take it to arbitration if he *really* is trying to cheat you and it's not just an unfortunate timing coincidence. For a $300 site you need to ask yourself if it's worth it, or whether you should just regard it as a learning experience...

You could always try revoking your vbulletin subscription... then vBulletin will go after him for running a board without a license. If you paid by credit card do a chargeback, paid by PayPal - dispute it... there isn't much you can do against someone that knows how to play the system... but it is a valuable lesson.

Google dont do anything for stolen sites. They only work when some sites dont follow their TOS. Better to contact the buyer or ask some mod.

DP will not do anything for you. It is 100% your responsibility for conducting business on DP. DP will only negotiate bad deals if both parties are premium members.

Just cut your losses, there is nothing you can do in my mind.

I don't agree with this, as i am on the buyer's point of view. Because as if i would buy something from someone, and let's say i pay all cash before getting my goods. The big possibility is i don't get the good, but my money is gone. Talking about my own experience in DP btw.

So i only can suggest, really be careful with doing with money related stuff on the Internet.
