I bought links on V7n directory and joe ant and I believe my serps in down like 20 positions from page 2 to 4. Is this possible?

I don't think that your directory inclusions necessarily are the reason for the drop in position. I've heard amazing things about the V7N directory submits. Were there any other changes that you did to your site? Could it be that others had just developed higher ranking sites for your keywords?

Maybe its temporary change..check after one two days.. There is a possibility of penalty due to paid links but lets wait and hear from SEO experts here!

I can assure you that it is not a penalty from the directory submissions. It is far too easy for someone to do that to a competitor if that was the case. Perhaps your site got pushed down to the sandbox or some of your links just got devalued. This happens with blogposts and forum posts going into the archives.
