I was working on one of my blogs, using submitterbot.com, and when I checked my pagerank it was 4 instead of 3. Aren't links suppose to help my Pagerank!?!
Well. There was a pagerank update. And yep, links help your pagerank, as long as they don't suck. And I'm pretty sure an autosubmitter is not going to get you good links.
Why do you say that? Doesn't it raise your site nearer the top of the search listings? Or do you mean it is dead in terms of spending time on it while just trying to generate traffic? Are you really fine spending effort on a PR0/PR1 site?
total rumor...if you search any highly searched keyword and check the top results they all have PR...the only sites that have PR 0 and get top results are ones that are targeted to low searched keywords
Surely pagerank is a good thing to achieve in seo. It helps in someways otherwise what is the need to implement and work on it. Further check your 1-2 of your backlinks that gives you good links may be dead. Thats the reason for your pagerank effect. Try to increse your backlinks again.
Call 911, maybe they can help u with that, *lol* No offense. But seriously, There's nothin to be worried too much about ur pagerank, as long as u can maintain traffic and quality content. It Should be fine.
Minimally. There are several other factors that weigh much more heavily. Don't waste your time worrying about PR.
don't worry....it has happened with many people....if you are concerned about PR then start submitting good articles at ezine, it will definitely help you
First, there was a Google Back Link (BL) and Page Rank (PR) update during the month of December. The links you have that are over 6 months old will give you your page rank increase. And most of that will come from your internal pages. If you use an autosubmitter, the links you will get will be concidered gargage or a waste of time. The pages that your link will be placed on will be a PR0 or GrayBarred. Now to go from a PR4 to a PR3 is no big deal. Google assigned your site a much higher starting PR than normal and is adjusting everyones page rank. The current trend so far is down one point. So stop worrying about PR and start getting only quality links (ones that show up on a page that has PR). And if you can not SEO the anchor text of the link, then rethink the source of the link. Only SEOed links count in the real world and that means your "keywords in the anchor text".
I have had a simiar problem on one of my sites . My PR went down by 2 but I have gone up to the first page when searching on google. I don't understand how do you get a better PR anyways is it from the backlinks or by hits per day?
