Hey guys, Does anyone know anything I can do to keep my forum out of the supplemental index? I have thousands of posts, although I don't get much traffic into my forums? Any ideas?

100% by my users, over 5,000. There must be tons of valuable keywords, this is why I want to get full benefit from my form.

Make sure you use different titles and meta keywords/descriptions for all the threads. Make sure your URLs are SEO-friendly.
If it's already the case, then I don't know what else you can do :)

for one thing ., try to put the titles , like so :

    my topic name : sitename

instead of sitename : my topic name

see if any modification can put a different description for each post , instead of the default meta description .

preferably keep your forum posts in reach within 2-3 clicks from the homepage .

also put some quality check in your forum , instead pf allowing people to post same post from other forums and same articles from other sites .

do not fill up your forum with ICO content kind of stuff ( IMHO ) which fills up hundred other forums .

google or any search engine looks for unique content ... if it finds your forum contains same content as 20 other , it will put your pages in supplemental

You might be sandboxed. I know that I was for a couple of months. Only a few of my pages were not supplemental, but once I got out all of them were real results.
