Help! My domain was cancelled by the Registrar...

I had recently registered a domain nabilcolony.com for one of my clients. I had the contract to register the domain, get the site up and ready.

So, I went ahead and registered a domain at Netfirms.com in my clients name. I paid from my VCC card.

Shortly afterwards, I received an email from them.
I sent them the details of my VCC i had generated, statement from my bank. But to my surprise, they sent me an email today stating...
After that, I didn't hear anything from them. No replies to my emails yet. I asked them to change the domain info to my name if it is some sort of company policy, but netfirms haven't responded.

I have been creating websites for clients for a couple of years now, and never had such a problem before.

    What should I do now?

Yes, I had to use the name and location of my client. The VCC was in my name.

In this case, did you try to use some of netfirms.com special promotions like $10 for 2 domains and plenty of hosting? I have been with netfirms.com for some time now and haven't had problems.

Nope, a regular domain @ 5.95$. They've just cancelled the account. I don't understand. The reason they state is the domain is registered in my client's company name, but the card was mine.

    What should I do now?

It's best to email them scan of the front and back of the credit card used for that purchase, this is what I did while registering with my CC for someone else and everything went well.

Netfirms is bad for cancelling domains, I haven't had them do it to me but I have read it more than once. I have a hosting account and they were my primary domain holder but I'm now registering my domains with godaddy, I haven't looked into it too far but I haven't seen a way to export my domains to another registrar with them.

Check if the domain is available and try to register it through another registrar.

I guess netfirm doesn’t like virtual credit cards and want the real one.

I had experience of cancelling one domain with Netfirms that went with no problems, they give 2 or 3 day period for cancellation. Netfirms limit five $5.95 domain names per person, since it's under the regular price of domain registration they ask for addditional info to secury credit card's validity in cases where domains under the regular domain registration price are registered with the credit card owner's and registrants name differ.

I'm not sure if one is able to process domain registration through the account with GoDaddy when the name of the credit card and the name of the registrant for the domain don't match so you may encounter even a great problem than with NetFirms.

I think some payment gateways are cracking down on VCC. I have been trying to make payment for the last 2 days using a VCC, but it is giving a problem.
