Hey guys, Hope all is well! I need some serious help with my CTR. My site (www.Date-Rater.com) has Google AdSense Ads and i've been using them for about 4 months or so - here are overall my stats thus far... Page Impressions = 90,535 Clicks = 72 CTR = .08% My click-through-rate is HORRIBLE! - What are some ways to improve this for my site?? Are my ads positioned in good spots??... Should I use different ad styles/formats??... Should I move my ads??... I also have a MySpace App for my site (www.date-rater.com/myspace/rate.php) - check it out! - I would imagine that my CTR would increase a little bit, but it hasn't. I NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP ON THIS! - PLEASE HELP! -Sean
I just seen your site, most of the ads are Image ads, most of the image ads at Google are CPM (Pre 1000 impressions) and they pay very less (sometimes even 0.02$ CMP !!), so make them text based ads . And even people doesnt click on image ads, so best to make them TEXT ONLY ads and earn more.
Yes, I do agree doing this, but I think the text ads will make the header too 'cluttered'...what do you think on that....im going to change them to Text Ads now, but let me know you opinion once they load on your end...
I also agree with the above people. Text Ads give more revenue than Image Ads --------------- Blend them nicely with the color and I'm sure that you would earn more
Now ads are clickable !! but they are not looking great ... actually. align them at center . But now i am damn sure that your CTR will increase.
you might want to reorganize your site, its too crowded, try spreading the content in a wider area and i hate the animated logo right on top of the rate my looks
I am on 1440x900 screen , your site looks small in that screen try to make it bigger or make it flexible with the help of some CSS expert.
Your Page is very cluttered and one hardly gets to see the Ads. I would suggest using a good template. Try Talian, it is a highly optimized Wordpress Theme. Hope it helps.
Ok - I took our the 468x15 text-link ad unit....so it doesn't look TOO cluttered....what do you guys think?
Suggestion. 1. Center the entire block element of your page 2. Change theme or change the color of your ads ( to yellow ) to increase CTR. 3. Don't put all your eggs into one basket. Try other ads network as well.
Thanks for the tips... now for #2, are you referring to the color of the TEXT in the ads OR are you talking about changing the entire ad block to a certain color...? As for #3, I am also using CJ ads as well
The best way is to change the current theme of your site, make use of some bright colors. Then use Text based adsense ads and/or other CPM based ads to earn more. Good site looks will also give your visitors feel of quality. and hence will increase your overall traffic and performance of site.
google_color_link. Try to monitor the progress and change again in a week or two if this method don't work. Curious, how much you earn from CJ per month? Nothing personal, CJ seem dead to me for some niches.
A you referring to placing MORE ads or FEWER ads? Which page are you referring to (Homepage or MySpace App Homepage)? ...please be more specific
